The Review
Over the summer, I was overly hyped to see Alien Trespass. The trailer made it look like lame 50's fun and when it didn't end up in theaters near me, I was saddened. That's why DVD's are better than the movie theater (except the one I work at), and I finally got my chance to see this movie...and it SUCKED.
I can't even begin to tell you how disappointed I was. The acting was bad, the CGI was horrible (just use paper plates you dolts), and the movie itself was like watching paint dry. I had to turn the movie off twice before I even finished it, and even then I was still praying to god that it was ending every five minutes.
The idea is there, the execution isn't. I know it's supposed to rag on 50's sci-fi films but those films are actually fun. Save for one or two funny lines and the monster itself (which is done as a costume, not CGI thank god!), there's no fun to be had. Watching this is a chore, and I should have guessed that by seeing Eric McCormack in the trailer. Stick to TV buddy, you're too bland to be on the big screen.
This film is not worth seeing. Watch a real old time sci-fi movie instead, at least you'll enjoy yourself.
