The Plot
Abby Richter is a romantically challenged morning show producer whose search for Mr. Perfect has left her hopelessly single. She's in for a rude awakening when her bosses team her with Mike Chadway, a hardcore TV personality who promises to spill the ugly truth on what makes men and women tick.
The Review
Katherine Heigl plays the same character from 27 Dresses and everything else she's ever done, moving the female race forward with her portrayal of a psycho obsessive "I'm not complete unless I have a man" girl. Gerard Butler kicks ass as usual, but you can hear his accent bleeding through every line. He needs to either strengthen it up or just give up playing Americans, because it's not believable when you start sounding Scottish halfway through your lines.
I'm sure girls will find this funny, like they did with The Proposal. If you're a guy, avoid this and if you're on a date, definitely avoid this because it'll make girls question everything you do because the movie will make you look like a one dimensional ass, even if you aren't. If you want a good romantic comedy, rent Three to Tango or When Harry Met Sally.
However, since people like Katherine Heigl because they are stupid, I'm sure if you're a girl you'll see this any way. Just don't blame me if your boyfriend dumps you because you assume everything you saw in this film was right.
