Jon has begun his trek through the American Film Institute's 100 Best American Films with the 1933 Marx Brothers comedy Duck Soup. Good? Bad? Is Jon confused at the lack of pop culture reference, and even more confused by actual legitimate humor? Click those brothers and find out!

Writer: Jonathan Sullivan I have heard rumblings about the fourth Scream for awhile now, which in the age of remakes and sequels galore didn't come as a complete shock. The teaser poster of Scream 4 has been released, and you can see it...AFTER THE J-J-J-J-JUMP.
After releasing the poster a day or two ago, the trailer for Jonah Hex has followed and Jon has gave it a watch. After all his excitement at the prospect of a big screen adaptation of one of his favorite characters...it should come to no surprise that he isn't as excited as he once was. Click the Brolin and check the trailer!
Writer: Jonathan Sullivan Back in the days when I used to read comics, Jonah Hex was one of my favorites. Because of this, I have kept a somewhat close eye on the production of the movie, which means I have heard about all the reshoots, rewrites, and new directors (the fact Neveldine/Taylor aren't part of the finished project outside of the script depresses me greatly). Still, the poster has been released and I want to promote it, so check it out after the jump.
The trailer for the August 3D horror movie Piranha 3D has been released, and Jon is more than excited to bring it to you, the adoring (and non-existent) FC readers. From the looks of this minute and a half trailer, this movie is going to be one part lame...AND 9 POINTS HILARIOUS.
Jon just had the pleasure of watching the 2008 Japanese import Tokyo Gore Police and he just had to share with you his thoughts. Wanna know the crazy thing? The picture you see above you (click to read the review) is the least craziest thing in the movie.
The trailer for the Colin Farrell indie Ondine has been released, and Jon is all over that like he's all over Farrell in his dreams (that may or may not be the joke). Click the poster and check it out!
Hey everyone, FC EIC OMG Jon here with some news on the website.
New Rating System: Whilst sitting in class today, I had an epiphany: the rating system we use here does not reflect well on our thoughts on particular films. Hence forth, we shall be using the letter grade system, similar to Entertainment Weekly, Film.com, and your high school report card (with hopefully less F's :-P). We feel this will give us some more wiggle room in terms of our reviews and better reflect our overall opinion. And since I am completely insane and obsessive about how the site looks, for the next few weeks, I will be systematically going through every review and changing the old number grade to a letter grade so everything looks somewhat similar. In other words, I am the George Lucas of film blogging. Banner: Duke Philips is cool and everything, but it's time to get a legitimate banner. I don't know how, so if you would like to do it (for free, but I'll plug your site and give you credit) please let me know by emailing me (found up in the "About" section). Are You a Web Design Student?: So if you can't tell, Film Calamity isn't the prettiest of sites, and I was hoping to change that (at least the color scheme). Unfortunately, none of us know how to do any such thing because HTML both frightens and confuses us. That's why we look to you to maybe help us out. If you're a student (or someone who loves doing things for free) and have any ideas on how to change the color or anything else, please don't hesitate to contact any one of us by clicking the "About" section above. Anyway, that's all that's going on right now, and thank you for reading (if you really are reading, it could just be me looking at everything like the narcissistic man I am). -Jonathan Sullivan Jon just got home from watching Death at a Funeral and his verdict? It's actually a bit funnier than the original, but since the story and jokes are kind of the same, he had the same problems he had with the original. Want more? Click the S&M photo up there to read up!
Jon finally got to see Kick-Ass after a hectic weekend at work, and he is giddy to get you to read his verbal diarrhea so get clickin'!
